Thanks for posting this! I was needing to do something similar to this with my new to me 220 stand as I don't really want to build another one. lol

factory built.

just finished building a room in the basement and wanted everythign to my standard. rather be safe.
tank was sitting aorund for years without anything in it, so i wanted to be sure

Actually,I've never heard of doing it which was why I posted my question...I thought you were reinforcing a custom built stand.
