I received 4 1 and a 1/2 in spectabilis in January. Once they got about 4 in they started fighting amongst each other so I separated them into their own tanks. Now that the majority are roughly 6 in I would like to breed them, I have a beautiful male in a 75 gallon tank and three females in separate 55 gallon tanks. My question is should I put a tank divider in there keep them separate until they're ready to spawn. Or should I just throw them both in there and hope for the best? Pics show male and female

It will have to be a divider approach, using 1 female at a time with the male. The divider will need a hole small enough for the on of them to leave, while keeping the bigger one out. If you had a big enough tank, you could put them all in together and see which female picks the male. A 4 foot tank without a divider is too risky

I'm thinking then of using the 75 and try one at a time. With them devider of course. Thank you for tour input.
