i have 3 jebo heaters running in 3 different tanks. in each tank, i have a zoo med digital thermometer and one tank also has a coralife digital thermometer. the weather hasn't been stable so the temps have been fluctuating a bit. the tank temps are not stable. the temp swing in the tanks is about 4 or 5 degrees and each tank is a little different. in the tank with the two thermometers, each thermometer has a different reading. the zoo med thermometer reads about 85 and the coralife is at about 80. the other night, the temp shot up to almost 90 in one of the tanks and the heater was set to 82.
so here are my questions:
are my heaters bad or are my thermometers bad or both?
what is a good, reliable heater?
what is an accurate, reliable thermometer?
