I am willing to place my 15 or more years of pride keeping herps on the line by telling you this. In hopes you all go check that one cage issue you might have that you keep putting off.

My corn snake jail cell has the cord going through a hole way up high in which I didnt think he could reach, its been plugged anyways with some rubber stuff supposedly temporarily. Well the a hole cat pulled it out, snake got out, cat room door stays closed at night and its also the room with the snake. Was afraid the 2 cats ate him, then saw a turd, terd, whatever, in the front room. So at least he escaped the cats. Searched for hours. Found him through the back of the stereo cab. About 5 gouges from the cats on him but nothing too serious. Cleaned him up and he ate in an instant.

So, be a good warden, even us veterans make mistakes. Good luck.

well spoken. I am glad it is okay.

anyone can make mistakes ....makes me feel better lol
touch wood iv not had any problems YET.
i went out to florida for a month in may, asked my nextdoor neighbour to look after the snakes. just make sure they had water and clean them out.
she managed to lose a 12ft burm and a 5ft boa.
im REALLY careful with them all and always double check before bed time that everyone has their locks on and done up etc, because i have el, but i have no idea how she lost the other 2. needless to say she wont b looking after them again, it was just irresponsibility and a lack of respect for how i look after my animals.

yea im going throe the same thing now , day 4 and nothing yet .
