Removal of Acrylic Paint on Acrylic

Not sure where to post this question but would anyone know how or what to use to take off acrylic paint without scratching or ruining the acrylic underneath?

Paint thinner, a paint scrapper, and a good scrub brush. in that order.

you have to be careful about just telling people to go at it with paint thinner on an acrylic tank, paint thinner and acetone fog acrylic pretty bad, go to walmart and get yourself some krud kutter graffiti remover. if you can, lay the tank down, spray let it soak and scrap off. http://www.krudkutter.com/graffitiremover.asp

i stripped the whole back of a 240 and 110 with that stuff, the longer you let it soak the better, the paint just squeegees off, good luck

I'd be interested to know if that stuff works. I've always assumed that it was accepted to have to buff out the acrylic once you painted it.

But paint thinner is a no no. I've heard of it crazing the acrylic like mad, and I don't think that's a risk you want to take.

Water, 1000 and 2000 grit waterproof sandpaper and lots of elbow grease is how I did it a few years back.

Hmmm I would assume goo gone would be safe.
