Removal of stick-on thermometer

I'm sure everyone reading the title is thinking, "Wow, why doesn't jack*** just peel it off?" Well, it's on my 5 gallon acrylic and refuses to come off. Is there anything I can use to get it off? If it was stuck to a glass tank, I'd just use a razorblade, but I don't want to scratch up the acrylic here. Btw, it's not my fault- I got the tank used... Thanks for any suggestions!

soap and warm water should work, try letting it soak in your sink for about half an hour first.

Alcohol and Metho are what I'd think would be best to remove it.

denatured alcohol or mineral spirits. Use your fingernail and elbow grease to get the hard stuff off.
