It took about a year and a half before my Ca deposits came off with routine cleanings but whats a safe and effective way to remove it in a day or two?

how did u clean it? If really bad, I use mix of vinegar and water, then scrub or use razor. Takes me 30 minutes

my 150 is an Ex-Reef tank and the day i got it was really bad on the inside and the lids were translucent. That day i soaked the lids in really hot water for a few hours and most of the thicker stuff chipped off. i remove the lids every three months and scrub the algae buildup off with a green scrubby pad and that slowly removed the mineral deposits. my mag float did the rest in the tank.
The reason i asked is my friend has a 150 FW tank with crushed coral in the bottom and her tank, lids and filters have Ca deposits on them and she asked whats the best way to get it off. She wants to clean it all off when she moves the tank so a good 1-3 hour clean would be best

actually the company thats puts out the all famous pythons markets a couple of great products for cleaning the glass or acyrlic when the tank is set up and also a seperate one for when it isnt. glass cleaner 13gc, used for exterior glass or acrylic and fish safe,RYDYT1 for hard water build on set uo aquariums, and RYDYT2 for empty tanks, i have used all of them and they give the best results so far
