I just transferred the contents of my nanocube to a smaller aquarium. I want to use the nanocube as a grow-out but the black plastic false wall is encrusted with coralline algae. I managed to get all of it off the glass with a razor blade but this method doesn't work at all on the plastic.

Is there something I can do to dissolve it off or otherwise remove it?

Fill your tank up with Vinager and let it sit for a few days. The vinager will disolve it.

I use toilet bowl cleaner to clean old tanks, and it works on anything. Just be sure to rinse VERY well.
