Removing FX5 hose clips..help

Ok this is making me crazy.. i just took apart my FX5 but im having a really hard time getting the things off the tank that hold the hoses on the tank. Is there an easy way to get those things off that im just missing?? I feel like no matter what i try im going to break them..

Just muscle up and go for it.

LOL..With the help of my husband and a screwdriver we were able to get the stupid things off but im surprised we didnt break the glass..

No need for a screwdriver. Just manhandle them. They'll come off. My tank has a 2" lip and that is a SERIOUS pita to get the clips over.

Moved to setup and filtration.

I agree they do not come off easily. Though I haven't broken one yet

They are pretty tough to get off just have to get mad and pull them off!
