Hi guy's just purchased a 4ft aquarium however it has a glass divider siliconed in, searched about a bit and the best way I see to remove it is to use a razor blade? Is that true or is there a better way without damaging the tank? Cheers!
Yes, a razor blade is the easiest way to remove the brace. Start by slicing away at the silicone, making sure not to damage the actually tank's silicone. Once you can get the razor blade all the way through, slice down perpendicular to the divider on all three sides. You can then start to wiggle it out. Once you have the divider removed you can use the same razor blade to scrape off the silicone. Angle the blade and you should be able to remove a lot of the silicone in one smooth motion. Good luck and have fun!
