removing gravel

i usually drain sand through the python out the back door but how do you remove gravel. i use a big net and scoop it out. is there a better way?

I just go old school and use huge noodle strainers to remove gravel!

I am switching my gravel over to sand right now. I bought a lg heavy duty dust pan for $1 at Walmart. Burn whole in the back end and along the bottom

Now I can scope the gravel out easily and it drains so I am also not lifting out water, it works really well. I used a solder iron to burn the holes, didnt take very long.

Big net, colander or a dustpan is good for scooping it out

I use a big net as well. One of those insect collecting nets they sell for kids in department stores.

I used a big net along with a plastic container with holes in it.
worked out petty good.

That dust pan is a great idea, net get wrecked to easy doing this.
