Removing medication

i just finished treating my severums for costia, i made a 30% wAter change and added activated carbon , how do i know if thers no more medicine in my tank? im planning to move my motoro and an arowana into the tank

also how much activated carbon is needed?

What were you treating with?
How much did you treat?
How much carbon did you put in the tank?
What size tank?
How long has the carbon been in?



For the most part, carbon sucks out the meds pretty quick.

You can add the fish now, just do water changes daily. Carbon should remove the meds rather quickly.

thanks I treated for costia . the tank is 300 gallon. I used up about 15 bottles of azoo anti ectoparasite. the carbon has been in the tank for 2 days now.

You can add the fish now, just do water changes daily. Carbon should remove the meds rather quickly.

thanks btw really appreciate your advise on my severums, they recovered, I gave away some to an lfs
now only have some true parrots and 4 severums. Will add my arowana this weekend.
