I just picked up a tall 46 gallon tank with a blue painted background. I wasn't diggin' the blue so I went at it with a razorblade and viola, it all came off nice and clean without a single scratch. However, there is a spot that still doesn't come off near a corner. And I was thinking of soaking a rag in paint thinner/acetone, and letting it sit on the glass for a bit then going at it again with a razor. What I am worried about is the glass clouding with the thinner, does anyone know if using it will cloud it, and has anyone ever tried it? Can anyone suggest anything else that I could use to remove the residue?

i dont think it will do anything to the glass. I wouldnt try it on acrylic but im pretty sure glass is

glass it will be ok on i am sure of. . . ..

heat the razor with a lighter then take the paint off? might workk?

be careful with the acetone, I'm not sure if silicone can handle it. if it can, then acetone or mineral spirits would be your best bets. take a paint brush and dup it in the acetone and scrub the paint hard with it while your scraping it off with the razor... if that dont take it off, then I'm afraid i have no further advice for you

scrape with a razor, Love the NIN avatar
