Removing pups

Could I please get some advice from experience breeders. My female is due very soon. Mother is in a 8x2.5x2 with 2 other female and the male. Also have another 6x2.5x2 with one female 12inches. Should I separate the female in the 8 footer and then the pups in the same tank? Or should I remove them into the 6 footer , if so how long after birth ?

Congratulations btw. The best would probably be to remove the second male and female, as the female that carries shouldnt be to much stressed. Could lead to her giving birth before time.

So best thing to do is remove the rest of the other rays and leave the pregnant one alone untill it gives birth???

yep. Don't move the pregnant ray unless you really have to.

If no place to move then divide the female from rest of rays.

Is it common for the mother to attack or eat pups? Could I leave them swimming with mum or separate immediately ??
