What would be the best way to remove the sand from my 30" tall tank. Current inhabitants are 3 P-Bass and 1 Pike, Decor is 1 extremely large piece of driftwood and 2 river rocks. I'm going from sand to a mix of Florite and EcoComplete as I make my way over to a SA planted tank. I am doing a complete lighting upgrade as well and will post some before and after pics in this forum. My last light will be here tomorrow then I can sart the mounting process.

I just suck it up with a hose into a bucket

That way you also get a water change in the meantime

No water change for me in over 2 months I use a drip system to change my water but this may work also. just trying to get i out quick and easy.

just transfer water to a large holding bucket, ie- garbage can for fish, then scoop out sand with a dust pan replace with the new stuff and your back in the game.

Can barely reach the bottom I've used the dust pan method before but was hoping for something easier.
