I recently set up a RCS tank with some java moss and a java fern and some snails seem to have hitched a ride with the plants. They are multiplying like crazy and I'd like to remove the snails from the shell and toss the shells back into the tank for decoration. Are there any easy ways of doing this?

ya I've considered it but i've heard that in some cases they will kill shrimp, i'd rather not take the risk

if the snails are already multiplying you are going to end up with a snail tank and a couple rcs. Thats the same problem i had with my rcs tank. i ended up with hundreds of ramshorn and mts snails. was forced to buy a couple assassins to get rid of them. The assassins killed a shrimp when i first put them in but only cuz they probably hadnt eaten in a while and were going after the easiest meal first. but now i dont have anymore mts or rams in the tank after only a couple months. also i now have a breeding pair of assassins that are multiplying so if you get one, just get one. The rcs breed like crazy and you will easily replenish any lost within the first few months.
