I would like to remove the top black bracing from my 2.5g to make it look as if it were an expensive, rimless tank but I have a few questions:
- Firstly, how do I remove it? Should I use a knife to cut the glue under it then pull it off?
- Secondly, will the tank fall apart?
- Lastly, will I need to Re-Silicone the tank when I am done?
Thanks for any help.

They usually add the bracing in order to keep from having to use thicker acrylic or glass, which is why rimless tanks are significantly more expensive. A 2.5 gallon falling apart wont make too big of a mess, but I don't recommend it.
