Hi there, any tips/products besides vinegar and newspaper to get a cleaner aquarium glass.
No matter what I seem to use, I can't get rid of the water spots on my glass and all my tank shots magnify the problem.

I've tried pure vinegar, distilled water, all sorts of towels and newspaper, but they just don't seem to go away.

Thanks!

I just use Windex and paper towels. There is a new Windex with vinegar that I have been using lately. Works great. Just be careful to hold the sprayer close the glass so you don't get any in the tanks.

I just use water and never had a problem. I am afraid to use any chemicals next to fish, so water and paper towels do it just fine. Never ever had a problem.

What I use is those cheap scrub pads without the soap additives. I use them to clean the filters, algae and pretty much else. I cut them in half to increase their value.

On the outside of the tank, I saturate the glass with lots of water with the pad and scrub back and forth, then up and down. Then I use a paper towel saturated with straight vinegar, then a paper towel or clean towel to dry it. I continue to dry it until the steaks disappear

Works for me.

Hey Francine, thanks for chiming in. Good advice.

The most important message here should be that before you decide to start taking photos of your fish, make sure the glass is clean...inside and out.

Don't wait for Merry Maids to clean it for you. :-D :-D :-D

If you have extremely stubborn water spots consider using a flat new razor blade and scrape them away. I would only do this on glass tanks of course. And then use other suggested methods for final cleaning.
