Rena canister xp3 leaking

hey so i got this used rena filstar xp3 from my friend in a trade last night. We got it up and running, but it was leaking from this part. We took the attachment apart and screwed the screws in tighter and no more leaking for now. I'm still nervous leaving it alone for too long though. any suggestions?

If you really want to be on the safe side, you could replace the whole quick disconnect valve. Costs about $25-30 and all the xp series take the same one. I also keep a small rubbermaid conntsainer under all of my canisters just in case.
