rena heater

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sounds interesting, but I have not used one. Interested in hearing some responces though.

I have the 200watt it keeps temp perfect great also if you run canister through it too

Looks interesting...I've used Rena Heaters in the past and it last me a good long while. So they seem like pretty good heaters.

I've been meaning to get one. Don't really NEED one, since I keep my place at about 76 degrees anyway, but it would be nice reassurance if the pilot light were to go out.

Also, it would replace the ugly powder blue colored intake tube to my XP2.

I to use the regular Rena heaters and love them . I keep tanks in my backyard enclosed patio(Miami)

We had freezing days where temps dropped to low 40s at night and only got to mid 50s during day the heaters in the tanks are all Rena and set to 70 which is safe temp incase of temp drop and all of the heaters held the temps at 70 even in 40s temps outside.

by enclosed patio I mean just screen around it and vinyl roof no heat.

Thankfully temps now back to high 70s in the tanks never a fish loss due to those heaters .

the marketing is a bit of a joke the way they word it is you can conect it to a filter pipe most people think you can run it as an exturnal heater what they really mean is you can clip it onto the filter intake pipe nothing more

so overall this heater is good. sweet im getting mine by this week

the heaters ive heard great things the power filters ive heard were garbage.... i stick with aquaclear...they should really sponser me 1 day.... i dont know if there are any heaters that are better than jagers but the rena looks very nice someone should do a high end heater comparison for efficiency price and durability/lifespan
