This is [hopefully] not a huge deal, and I suspect I know the problem. After priming my rena [xp4 on my 125, xp3 on 55], pulling the lever for the siphon, waiting 2 minutes, then plugging in..... I notice that the filter runs exactly as it should. There are no problems whatsoever with the filter. Wait....maybe I shouldn't post.
NO actually, even though everything DOES work beautifully, there is a 'click' or 'clickclick' every 3-6 seconds coming from BOTH filters. Almost like the click of an analog wall clock. I am certain that this is the impeller. Somehow (?) there must not be enough water getting into the motor. Flow rate is fine, water looks great. It's magnificent. I really have to know what this is. The xp3 is old, but I just bought this xp4 a few days ago. I just noticed this today when my house was unusually quiet.
What is this, if not what I said, and WHAT CAN I DO to fix the damn thing?
