Rena Smart Heaters question?

If I had one hanging on the side of my tank would it bring in water by itself and propel it? I would still put it by the filter to allow for optimun water flow but I don't think it will fit the intake tubes of the filters i'm running on the tank

I believe the Rena heaters can be stand alone heaters and don't need constant flow, like the Fluval E series

I have one in my 75g and I don't think it does anything but heat. No water flow, but you can attach it to a rena filter as an intake tube. I just put mine next to my AC intake tube
