Rena Smart Heaters

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I dont have experience with the Rena but I was giving it serious consideration when setting up my new tank. Instead I went with the Hydor in-line heater, mainly due to the fact I would not have to stick my hand in the tank to make changes in the temperature. It has been a great heater and I have not had any problems with it. I am using 2 of the 300watt on my 120g. (Overkill, I know)

If I had went the Rena route I would totally set it up as an intake. It would make the inside of the tank have less clutter and give a cleaner appearance.

I modded an old BioWheel HOB filter to fit inside the Rena Heater and it works great. I plan to buy more eventually as my Stealths die out. I also have a Hydor inline 300w in use and it's great too, just spendy.
