I'd like to purchase a nice Rena XP3 canister filter that is in good shape for a good price. I'm in N. Las Vegas, 89084

PLEASE PM me..

I haven't used the magnums, but I used to have a Rena XP3.....Loved it. I have an FX5 now.....Hate it.

All cards on the table, I really wanted to try the Magnum.. I really like the ease of use of the RenaXP's but the Magnum can double as a micron filter and reminds me of my Dad's DE filter that he pulled out from time to time. I will post my thoughts even though I wasn't planning to go the bio-wheel route on this one, I think it will be a good thing.. Thanks for the opinion on the FX5... Love the 2c.

Istalled the Magnum last night and had mixed feelings initially. The flow thru the out-take is weaker than I expected. However, it's getting T'd off to support 2 big bio-wheels as well, being activated by dual spray bars. The main conern will be the filtration job that it does. Will report back.. Shouldn't be a problem now that this Mag350 is in conjuction with the Cascade1000. I like the Emperor 400 HOB I installed on the 47gal bowfront -this thing gots JUICE.
