Having spare parts around, and having a bare-bottom tank, I decided to make due with the parts I have from - http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=396855

This is the unit the hose will connect to. Having already removed all the bio rocks from that unit except the sponge filter.

So, basically connect one end to the Jaqno unit, turn on the Rena and proceed to vacuum all the crap on the bottom.
Going to test this out later today, hopefully this setup will have more vacuum compared to the python on the faucet.

Awesome! Great idea, when I get a canister thats what I'll do. I used to have an fx5 and used it drain water during water changes could drain a 150 gallon tank in less than 20 minutes
