Is this any good? I saw some of the older posts a few years back mentioning that it wasn't but I was wondering if anyone could provide some more recent feedback.

well I have an xp3 and its awesome. I use the xp3 as back up along with a sump on my 60 gallon and its equally powerful to the sump in my opinion. What size tank are you planning to use it on and what stock?

I like my XP3. My Eheim pro III is a nicer filter but cost twice as much and doesn't really filter any better. Of the filters I own I think the XP3 is by far the best bang for buck!

The XP filters are good, parts are available if you need them and they are quiet too. I have found that using Stability really helps get the bb going in these filters or it seems like forever to get one cycled good.
