Renaissance Hydor Canister pain

Does any body have one of these things? They are a huge pain to close.
I got the square pegs lined up with their notches. the blue clips are lined up with their slots. I'm holding the impeller shaft by the prime plug to keep it front falling and coming out of line with the cover, but i cant get it to close.
What am i missing here?

This is one of the reasons I never use canisters anymore, I have found this be be true of any I have had.

I finally figured it out. Good thing i didnt put it in the wall first.
