Something about my main mbuna tank - the 55gal community - has been bugging me lately. In an attempt to get back to being happy with it, I decided to redecorate it today, change up the rockwork a bit. This is what it looked like an hour ago:
I did like it, and the fish seemed to like it, but it looked a little more 'structured' than I wanted it to. So this time, I tried to break it up more into two territories, one on either end, instead of the straight across uniform look. Here is it now, just completed:
This is the left side:
Middle:
Right side:
Lol the fish are in the middle of defining territories. The two rulers of the tank are my male greshakei and male callainos, both full grown. The greshakei usually lives on the left side of the tank, and the callainos on the right - even when I've restructured it before. This time it seems they've switched though. I guess the greshakei decided he wanted the right set of caves, and since he's actually top dog in the tank, the callainos has to settle for the other side
