What's up MFK! Moving from a rental house to an apartment, plan is to up my 401K and start saving up some cash for a house in the future. Doing the apartment thing is gonna save me close to 500 a month.. Woo Hoo.

Anyways, I got a 100 Gallon tank, gonna put that bad boy in the apartment no matter what.. LOL..

Anyone else got/had a 100+ tank in a apartment or small space? Any suggestions or issues you can think of? Thanks for the help in advance.

I live in an apartment and have a 200G setup, although i with that being said, i live in HK where 99% of the population live in apartments...

I lived in an apartment where they required you get renter's insurance if you want to have a fish tank over 20 gallons or a waterbed, it's usually pretty cheap.

We never had to worry about space 'cause we didn't have a television, entertainment center, or a dining room table or anything like that. Basically just a bed and a single couch so the tank could fit pretty much anywhere.

I am doing the same kind of move next thursday, we are going to have a 180 set up, 160 setup and maybe 2 135's or a 210g set up. they didnt ask if we had a "fish tank" so we didn't tell haha. lucky for us it is the first floor. But I wont give up my fish lol. And to most people ( not including MFKer's) Fish arn't considered "pets" , so we're good haha. We do have renters insurance tho. :) GL!!

I got a 20 in my apartment and we're not supposed to have ANY fish....but the lease also said "no mammals" and later said deposit is required for dogs and cats

needless to say we also have 2 cats and haven't paid a pet deposit for them....i like to live dangerously. lol

Check the lease and get renters insurance. Ours was about 20 per month. The other issue is floor quality. The first place we lived was a converted attic and the tank shock until I removed the stand every time some one walked around anywhere in the house. The second apartment we lived in was Steel and concrete so you could have any tank you want.

LOL, all good fellas... Yeah, I asked them about the tank and they all is needed is renters insurance. So I'm good to go.. I'm lucky my tank is only 4' long...

Deposits are needed on dogs and cats.. coo!!!!
