Hey everyone,

I'm not really digging the arrangement of plants in my 75 gallon tank, and want to move around my plants and add more to the tank, while also adding a bit more flourite black substrate that I have.

Would this be something I could do while keeping all my fish in the tank? I want to remove all the plants from the tank and then place them back in one at a time after adding a bit more substrate to the back half of the tank where some of the bigger plants will be placed.

Stock:

6 Denison Barbs
3 Random Danio
28ish Cardinal Tetra
6 Columbian Tetra
4 Ember Tetra
2 Oto

Thanks

I move things around at water change w/ fish in the tank. Lower water level helps, and fish are ok. Even add substrate.
But for a planted tank like that, it might be easier to remove fish.

Yes. I have never removed my fish during a change over. If you have deep substrate and haven't cleaned it routinely however, I'd remove the fish if you think it will get a lot of disturbance.

Remove the fish. Do a water change after you are done then put back the fish. Usually a lot of nasty stuff in the substrate gets released and the fish get sick. Been there done that. :(
