rep tank to aquarium

i was just given a 50g reptile tank...is it possible to convert it to an aquarium safe for fish?

usually not cua they are made with thinner glass so it wont support water weight

I had the same question as well?!? but my rep tank said 'don't fill water to the top'?? so wth does that mean? I went to the LFS and looked at the glass thickness of the aquarium and it seems to be the same!?

My friend filled his reptile tank about 1/2 way and then it gave way.

so what would happen if it didn't work out? glass breaks? leaks? one touch tank falls apart?

Just buy an aquarium! Safer...
