how hard is it to replace a bottom panel on an acrylic tank? couldnt it just be cut off at the seams and then a new piece glued/bonded or whatever is done? any experiences doing it yourself or having it professionaly done?

i dont think its a good idea to take off the bottom of the acrylic tank. or take off any piece of an acrylic tank. the concept seems easy, but it is really hard to water tight seal an acyrlic tank.

If it is the 300g, first try repairing it from the inside first. Empty it and let the crack dry. Then drip pvc glue into the crack. It should soak in by capillary action. If it is beyond just glue, then glue an acrylic patch over the crack. Then add enough gravel or sand to cover it all.
