Repeatedly spitting out food - mouth flukes?

My Venezuelan pike keeps grabbing and then spitting out food. He did swallow 2 or 3 goldfish earlier today, but that's it. He's still attacking them but he appears to have trouble swallowing or something. Indicative of mouth flukes? Come on someone must know. To say I am worried would be an understatement - I am extremely worried about him dying just a coupla days after I got him.

I wouldn't be worried alot of cichlids do that The pike i have right now does it all the time

ive had several pikes eat like half the feeders and then spit them out. seems kinda normal. if hes attacking them then thats a good thing i think

He is bulimic...


Normal cichlid behavior, he'll eat when hungry enough, unless he feels fat.
