Hi looking for anyone that may have experience in removing the purge valve from an FX5.

mine has started to leak, im happy to buy a replacement but unsure how to remove the old one.

i dont want to pull twist or turn heavy handedly in the wrong way and make the situation worse.

hopefully i can remove silicone around the fitting and replace. being a cheapskate and all lol. :naughty:

You can just seal it up with sealant

tried that already. didnt work. was a bit of hash job,tbh but difficult to get a bead of silicone all the way around due to the design.

i think you can remove by turning 90 degress then pulling, but just wanted reassurance.

Anyone had leaking from the BACK of the knob itself? Looking through the tube, it appears as though there is a rubber o-ring there as well, but I haven't found a way to separate the two halves of the knob itself (one would think, since there IS an o-ring there, that there would be a way to separate them, but I didn't want to risk breaking it).

Thanks!

dmd.. thanks for that link. I am getting air in the filter (suction side) and can not pinpoint the leak. With your comment about lube the valve perhaps I will lube the top's gasket and the input valve as well.
