Hey guys I need some help. I recently purchased a used 150 glass tank...and I want to replace the top plastic tank frame.

One of the first things I've read regarding replacing the frame (or getting a replacement frame)...is first find out the manufacturer of the tank. I've looked all over the tank (except under the bottom of the tanks bottom frame) to see who the tank manufacturer is. I can't find anything. No label, no markings, etc.

Any ideas, suggestions...am I missing something. I know that Glasscages.com is probably one of the best places to get the replacement frame...but I hear knowing the manufacturer of the tank is important.

Thanks

Look on the bottom. Alot of big companies put a tag on the bottom. Besides that can't really help.

Thanks for the reply. If you're talking about a label/sticker...there's nothing there. The tank is empty...so that sort of thing is pretty easy to see.:)

I have seen that label/sticker on some of my other tanks.

You might try posting a pic of the top frame as sometimes the width of the 'lip' the glass lids set on varies between manufacturers. You will also need to measure the length and width of the tank and maybe the glass thickness to order an appropriate replacement top trim.

You may not need to buy an exact replacement, just one that fits properly.

If you have existing glass lids for the tank, be sure to buy the replacement trim that will fit them as well. There is a bit of variation between Aqueon (All Glass) and Marineland (Perfecto) tanks regarding the glass lids/canopies.
