Replacing bracing/frame on tank

I have a 150 gallon tank that has a cracked tank frame/bracing around the top. I got a new frame/bracing already. I was wondering how you would recommend pulling the old stuff off and go about putting the new stuff on?

get a carpet knife or putty knife in under the frame and slice along all the way around inside and out as much as you can you want to separate it from the glass.You probably still will need to cut the frame in a few places with a hacksaw and take it off in sections.Work slowly and carefully so you dont break the glass.Clean the glass down with razor blades.Apply a bead of silicone all the way around the top of the glass.push the frame down onto the silicone,put some large books or something to keep it down till the silicone sets about 48-72 hours.
