I'm currently looking at replacing my in hood filter( pumps are wearing out) with a nice canister filter. the tanks is 130 gallon and has a 350gph internal filter as well. The budget doesn't permit an fx5 or anything of that price range. I was looking at the
Eheim Classic 2217 Canister Filter

or

Aqua One Nautilus 2700UVC Canister Filter

I know the eheim will be quality but will it be big enough?

I thought Eheims were more expensive than Fluvals?

The Eheim Pro 3 series is!

Roughly 300-350 australian.

Okay, Thanks. So that's about the same as 300-350 USD... So you're good! You can get FX5's for around $200

Or get a couple of These CLICK HERE

HERE and HERE are the websites that you should be able to order them from.

Get an fx5 if you can afford it, The Doctor

Will I be Ok using just an adapter plug so the U.S filters will fit an australian outlet? thats my only concern about ordering international the fx5 would be affordable if so.

I think an adapter would be okay. I use to see ads for them in travel magazines so they should work.

FX5 hands down.

I personally love EHeim products and everyone i know who has a FX5 is extremely happy.

And yes a US conversion adapter will work fine, just google it and u should be able to find one pretty cheap.
