Hi all. I will be setting up a 150g FW tank in the near future. I will be running a Rena Filstar Xp4 canister for filtration (rated 265g). I was wondering if there would be any downside in replacing the bio stars with bioballs. I used the stars with my axolotls and have since thrown them away. It is $10 for 20 stars, when I can get 75 bioballs for $4.
Any ideas?
