I have a 75 gallon that has a crack in both the top and bottom plastic frame. The tank itself is still in good shape and so I'm debating on whether it's worth it to replace the frames. Has anyone done this to their tank and how much of a hassle is it to cut the frame off? I've watched youtube videos on this and they make it look fairly easy. Hacksaw the frame every four inches and slide a paint scraper up under the frame to break the silicone seal. The guy at the lfs mentioned that it's a bit of a hassle, especially the bottom frame. Thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have replaced a top frame on a 125 but never a bottom frame.I simply ran a knifeblade back and forth along the edge of the glass underneath the frame and worked it off of the tank.
Try and get us some photos, depending on the size of the cracks you may not need to remove the frames.

That looks rather minor.I would look into the JB Weld or one of the better glues that are sold at auto supply shops....something that hardens and is plastic like when dry.
