Hey everyone. I was just given a tank with the trim kind of messed up. Also, the trim has a plastic piece across the top of the tank (brace) that's broken. How do I start to replacing the trim? Would it by stronger and easier to use a piece of glass for the center brace? Also, where can I buy the trim. Thanks, The Doctor.

You can order new ones from any lfs that is a dealer for your tank. Or you can make one out of wood. What i did was made one using 1/2 x 2'' pine. I went all the way around the tank and then one brace across the top for a 75g and its works just fine. I read several stories about siliconed in glass braces failing so i never tried.
