Anybody use this stuff before? I was told by a vendor that it is like bacteria on steriods.

He said you add it once a year and it almost totally eliminates water changes.

"You'll only have to do one or two changes per year"

I read that it keeps your water crystal clear and also removes all debris and gunk from your gravel.

1oz treats 3000 gallons

$38.00 for aprox 1/2 oz
Is that a good price?

I want to get some other opinions before I give it a shot or if nobody knows much about it I'll give it a shot and pass on my results.

Thanks

LOL!

Ya I didn't expect much but I know this guy personally so I'm trying to give him a chance. It also doesn't help that when I go to aqua bella's site his name is one of the testomonies. Lol!

He told me that "some people put it in a new tank and then add fish the next day"

Send me the $38 dollars and I'll send you a bottle of something that will work just as well. I'll ship that bottle empty to save on shipping charges. The result will be the same or better than his product though!

Tetra used to make a similar product called 'Easy Balance'

used to claim that when used as directed, water changes were only necessary twice per year.

we got in it when I worked at the LFS, but never never recommended it to anyone..

however, we did get in some customers with bad water samples who used it.

they were shocked when their fish were dying and their water was off the charts in ammonia/nitrite/nitrate (most common) because 'they used Easy Balance'

LOL

classic BS at its best..

I wish someone would invent a flocculate type substance that binds all nitrate molecules together into a big solid clump that could be netted out of aquariums, without having negative side-effects!
