When I introduce bio - spira into my new tank, Do I have to have fish in the tank for it to cycle correctly? Do I have to put fish in after the tank cycles or can I wait a week or two?

You have to have fish, or the bacteria will die with no nitrogenous bi-products to consume.

Would 1 gold fish work for a 20 and 29 gallon tank?
the reason I ask is because my 29 gallon tank has alota pots and I dont think I'd be able to catch the goldfish once he is put in.

The more fish you have in the tank when you add the Bio-spira, The more your filter can handle? Or does it not work that way.

I'm worried because I'm gona be putting 4 small indo datnoids in each of my 2 x 20gallons and 1 x 29gallon and want the sponge filter to be able to handle them.

put what ever fish your planning on putting in the tank in it and add the bio spira
