He didn't place, but I'm still proud of him. Some of the feedback I was given though was that he was too small. Confusing to me, but don't kelberi usually max out at around that size? Anyhow, I represented!

Hey, I am a friend of a guy from Segrest farms and he was just amazed with him, I am in Vegas at Superzoo, his name is mike and he does a lot with tanked and fish tank kings and tv shows. Anyways he showed me a pic of ur kel, well even though he didn't place he is number 1 in my book and his book.

I think when most people hear cichla or peacock bass and they expect it to be a huge fish....but with kelberi being a smaller, slower growing species I think 18-20 is about max for them in home aquariums.
I think Kendragon's runt Bahia is like 15"
You should definitely check one out, they're lots of fun.....Theres the show, cheap fish, supplies, and equipment for sale, auctions, raffles, free grab bags.....and beer
I don't think that there was a Cichla class... Probably lumped in with Crenicichla and other SA fish (or "all other").
That's a really impressive fish and even more impressive that you got him there and back in one piece!
