reptile den in water???

i just bought a reptile den, the cave with the magnets for each side of the class, and i was hoping it would be safe to put in my fish tank....any body ever try this? lemme know what u think

I have honestly never even thought of that before. it's genious. post some pics after you put it in your tank.
 
You might want to be careful, I used to work at petsmart and we usually tried to steer people away from doing that because reptile products are treated with a film that might be toxic to fish.. The film is there to protect it from heat damage and bacteria..

Just something you might want to be careful of.. Im not sure if all products have that.

one other thing to watch, youve probably found this already dont put your fingers near the join those are powerful magnets and it hurts

You can probably make your own... if you find out what strength of magnet it is.

i did that too, hurt like hell
 
i've never used anything with magnets.. but we do use the reptile tank decor and cave effects in our tanks, we wash them in the dishwasher with no soap, but on the sanitize setting.. probably don't need to do more than rinse it well, but it makes me feel better if i do the sanitize thing.
