does anyone know any vets in the united states that are good with reptiles such as snakes no place around me seems to know anything about snakes so i was just wondering if u guys know any places

thanks in advance

Try University vet schools. They usually have someone from each specialty (for teaching), and are usually the best resource if there isn't a local specialist.

thanks ill give those a try i have nothing wrong with my snake just wanted to know a place in case something does happen

look up exotic vets in your yellow pages as well. Alot of times there will be exotic vets in large practices like VCA's or in practices that also have board certified vets on board.

there is a place in Jax that I volunteered at: River side animal hospital, the head vet there was once the president of the Jacksonville Herp Society. he is really good but you have to be patient because he only works about 2 hours a day...

sorry, it could help someone else reading the thread. i though it was a generic kind of post.

Here is a link to the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians’ website (www.arav.com). I hope this helps. I think this is the direct link-http://www.arav.org/ECOMARAV/timssnet/amm/tnt_mdsearch.cfm to find one in your area.

"All Wild Things" Exotic animal hospital on 6058 N. Keystone, Indianapolis. Thats where I took my bearded dragon when he got sick. Phone number (317) 255-9453
