Ok, so me and my girlfriend are looking to move into a house togethor soon, and I'm thinking about building a sunroom outside to turn into a reptile enclosure.

A outlay of what I want:
30x30'
A Water Feature/Pond in the middle
Smaller Reptile Aquariums/Enclosures around the outside walls
Some live plants

Reptiles I want:
Lace Monitor or Mitchell's Water Monitor ( depending on which is calmer )
Some Turtles' to go into the Pond/Water Feature
Some Scrub Pythons
Jungle Carpet Pythons
Green Tree Pythons
Spotted Pythons
Jaguar Pythons
Geckos' ( not sure what species yet )
Bearded Dragons

Now I know what your thinking ' this dickhead is crazy right? they wont all go togethor '

Which is why if I do build it, I want a couple big enclosures Plywood with Acrylic enclosures for the Pythons that look decent ( not just half done ones like LPs Caimen)

I was wondering if you had any suggestions on anymore reptiles ( legal to Australia and no Hots ) I could put in some smaller enclosures. Also how to keep it at a high temperature during Winter without highjacking my Electricity Bill.

Just to remind you, this is all theory at the moment. Just depends if I get this new job & how much the missus will let me do.

ouch.... thats low man :banhim:
he did a pretty darn good job IMHO
lets see how you do and then you can talk about someone elses stuff that they actually built.
and to your post, i would not put any snakes in a sun room. i guess in oz its not that big of a deal if they are native but i would rather have my snakes in a well insulated room with there own temp control. maybe window unit. and to keep you electric down use flex watt heat tape to heat cages. very efficent. also insulate the cages well so they hold heat better. make them shorter so there is less air to heat (most of what you names is kind of arboreal so that might not be what you want but those are my suggestions
im sure others have better ideas tho. good luck.

I was'nt talking about his enclosure, I was talking about him not getting a Caimen, sorry if you took it the wrong way lol.

oooooooooooooooooo...... ok just makin sure :) i revoke my rant.
you are in the clear. un:banhim: but i was like ahhh heck noo he di nt!
you better make some cool enclosures tho!

Mine will be more desert style tbh :S, but I think if I build the water feature in the corner, it can be some sick looking waterfall.

But also, knowing my luck, if I do build it, I'll be broke for like a year and not be able to afford any reptiles lol.

That's the problem.......It takes alot of money to do what you'd want do, and Sunrooms are hard to heat in the winter.......Another thing I've seen, Sunrooms tend to have some fairly drastic temp swings depending on how they're built.......

oh, i was about to chime in. lol.

PS the enclosure will be finished more. Its just to teh point where i can get the caiman. The basement is gonna be finished. Im just leavin it like you see there untill the basement is finished and I can make it look really good. alot of house work is needed untill I finish the basement. People dont realise how hard it is to get one like this. I need a perfect sized physically sexed female. Cant be a male, MUST be a female. And cant be a hatchling. Has to be 14 to 18"(with 2ft being a max)

Its not an easy task.....

Its not a ball python. There arnt 10 million to pick from. Only so many people keep these (far less than American gators and many other herps) and even less sell the size I need or can sex them.

Lol, I know what you mean, If it was a Saltwater Croc you wanted, I could help you :P I have a family member that owns like 10,000 Acres in the NT and his river is full of them.
