I haven't read anything about mixing different reptiles in a single enclosure. I have a baby(13 inches) savanah monitor and was wondering is it possible to house 2 in the same enclosure? The size is a custom built 4x4x4 for now.

Just like with fishes it's always risky. With juvies of the same species you're probably OK at least for awhile, just watch for aggression as they grow, and make sure both are getting enough food.

I agree 100%. It may work for a little bit , but when they mature, I'm sure there will be some issues. If you have a female, get a male. If you have a male get a female. I wouldn't get 2 males though.

you will need a bigger cage, seperate basking spots and seperate hides
I would go for an eight by eight enclosure for when they are adults

One thing I've found with savs in particular is that when you have multiples you invariably get one that's a more aggressive feeder. I saw this when I worked in a pet shop in school as well as when I picked out my old sav at a shop (I picked the greedy eater). In a shop it can be a real problem because they're not going to take the time to baby the shy one, but in a home situation it's a simple thing to take out the greedy one so the shy one can get its fill.

it would work if you have different sexes and separate them for feedings. Just keep a close eye on them and be sure to provide 2 of everything (water, hides, basking rocks...)
