it seemed awfully uncomfortable with strong current so i disconnected the filters and power head. went to a pond to get some duck weed, store to pick up anacharis....and then another to get philodendren. all to keep water quality high. im going to get a day lily too and maybe some banana plants.
i lowered the water level 50% and there are smooth river rocks and black sand. room temp. it has hiding spots in the rocks that are secured. it is a strong think about 2 feet and fairly thick. tanks a 125g.
tried feeding it cocktail shrimp. no go. local lsf had no type of worms. i looked for earthworms and didnt find any. i threw in a baby african clawed frog incase it was starving. if it lets it live then fine.
i read they also like to eat crawfish but i know they eat plants. what do you guys feed yours?
