Not sure if im posting this in the correct section but here it goes.

I have what i believe to be a 120 gallon tank. I will post dimensions later. I got it with a snake i bought a while back. It has the center brace so im sure its a fish tank but i worried about the silicone. The silicone used was black and if im not mistaken that generally means it was meant for reptiles?

I was wondering, if i were to reseal with aquarium grade silicone if it would be able to house fish? The glass is .25" or slightly bigger.

black silicone does not denote a reptile tank. I have black silicone in many of my fish tanks. I believe the glass is typically thinner in reptile tanks (not sure)... but the silicone color does not matter.

well it has a center brace already. i may try a test fill and see how it goes. it turns out it is an 80 gallon tank. so now i just need a hood for it.

okay. will do. i will be making another thread soon for stocking ideas. i have so many i want so ill have mfk help me out.
