Reptile to fish aquarium? is it safe?

I have a chance to buy a 225gal fish tank that had an alligator in it would it be safe to use it as a fresh water tank for pbass?

Assuming its an actual aquarium and not a "reptile tank" I don't see a problem. Just clean it and make sure it's sealed good

I would ask to see it filled. Depending on the age of the tank, the heat lamps used for the gator may have dried out the seals.

I would definitely ask to see it filled. If you're happy with what you see then take it home! Give it a good cleaning (I clean my tanks with water/vinegar) and be a proud owner of a 225g aquarium

even if it leaks if it's cheap enough you can have it resealed

I would strip the silicone and reseal i tried this with a 20 gal tank that housed a gecko and couldnt keep fish alive for any length of time.......i striped and resealed it and haventt had a problem since
